I am a Pierre native and have always had a strong passion for sharing the good news in our pretty city. Our local citizens and businesses make this the best community to live, work and play. I attended the Art Institute of Pittsburg studying marketing, advertising and some graphic design. My love is all things appealing; I am inspired by everything around me and do a great deal of research to make sure each strategy is the best fit for our clients.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
Although there are a great deal of positive role models in my life, my number one would be my mom. She is the most creative person I know, and her artwork is based purely on intuition and practice. She feels what she needs to express visually and has taught me to do the same. Thanks Mom!
Favorite childhood TV show?
I would have to say watching Alf with my dad, this was a time that no speaking was allowed as to interrupt the show. I would sit on his lap and laugh at the goofy shenanigans!
Any volunteer activities you are crazy about?
I am truly in love with the Boys & Girls Club
. Their mission is so important to our community and the next generation is getting such an amazing opportunity with this local program.
Have you ever won an award?
I won PACO’s Good People, Good Causes award in 2011 for the Facebook Page I created and maintained during the 2011 Oahe Flood. It was amazing to see what a strong tool social media can be in a time that our communities needed constant communication.
What would be impossible for you to give up?
My family, they make me better every day.
If you were an animal what would you be, and why?
I would have to say a hummingbird, I love flowers, fragrances and think migrating and all over the world would be quite the life.
If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it?
"Work Hard, Play Hard: And Don’t Forget to Notice the Small Moments"
